Ben Affleck did in fact celebrate his birthday with girlfriend Jennifer Lopez after all. We initially reported that he spent his big 49th birthday with his kids sans Lopez, but we stand corrected. The two met up later after separate plans during the day.
After Lopez attended producer Jennifer Klein's annual Day of Indulgence, a source reveals she and her twins Emme and Max made their way to Affleck's house in the evening for a "quiet celebration." Lopez also picked out jewelry for Ben's daughters Violet, 15, and Seraphina, 12 at the event before heading to her boyfriend's.
"Jennifer had a cake for him," a source close to Lopez told People. "Ben is not one for big celebrations, so he thought it was perfect. "It was exactly what he wanted."
Affleck and his three kids — daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel, 9 — were spotted visiting a friend earlier in the day in Los Angeles's Pacific Palisades neighborhood without the multi-hyphenate. A source also told TMZ that the two are planning another birthday trip, this time for Ben.

Things appear to be going swimmingly for the rekindled couple. Their families and friends alike seem to approve of the on-again romance — Matt Damon included.
"Oh man, no one's pulling harder than I am," Affleck's pal said while doing press for his movie Stillwater. "They're both great. I just want for their happiness. They seem pretty happy right now."
